News - Latest News

It is with great regret that I have to post the tragic news that Janos Feil the current World and and Formula350 champion has died during the 3rd heat of the 1st round of F-350 championship in Boretto. Janos was not only a great driver, he was the president of the Hungarian Powerboat Federation and the main event organiser for the races of Szaged, A man that dedicated his life to the Powerboating world. I personally am deeply saddened by this news, Janos was a nice man kind and true, and always a big warm welcoming smile.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

O-350 The World O-350 Championship being held in Znin over the weekend, is proving to be eventful. Alex Cremona of ITA Mostes / GRM has won the opening heat followied by the European champion Janos Feil AUT Mostes / GRM. The 1st heat had to be re-started after there was an accident involving Tundi Bedi AUT and James Aderhodlt USA/NED both drivers were taken to hospital with Bedi returning to the pits late last night with a broken hand. This puts her out of the 125 championship as well, as she was competing in both classes. I believe James is still in Hospital with a broken hand and leg, we wish both drivers a speedy recovery. In heat 2 Ilkka Rytkonnen FIN BettaBoat / VRP has flipped, and the race is due for a restart.

Janos Feil won second heat, just before Giuseppe Rossi and Cremona. Winning of third heat by Feil, leaving Cremona on second place, made overall situation very interesting. In last heat was restart because of flipping of Marszalek. And as Cremona not got finish and Feil won the heat, he got his first World Champion title in O-350. Alessandro Cremona got second place and Marian Jung from Slovakia was third.

1. Janos Feil AUT 1100
2. Alessandro Cremona ITA 1025
